23 Youth Attend the Annual Elks 157 Soccer Shoot on Sunday Afternoon

Twenty-three youth from across Hardin County participated in the Kenton Elks Lodge annual Soccer Shoot , a goal-kicking accuracy contest for ages four through thirteen, held at the Corner Kick Soccer Complex in Kenton on Sunday, April 28.

Pictured with Derek Kaufman, current Kenton Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler, and Julie Crowe, lodge  Soccer Shoot director, are the top two scorers in the four boys and girls age brackets: FRONT ROW – Evan Rall (1st, U10 boys); Eelyn Yoakum (2nd, U8 girls); Ellie Minter (1st, U10 girls); Abby Schlegel (1st, U8 girls); Shawn Layman-Cannode (2nd, U8 boys) and Jason Jolliff (1st, U8 boys); BACK ROW – Crowe; Austen Gerlach (1st, U14 boys); Owen Haudenschield (2nd, U10 boys); Ruby Styer (1st, U14 girls); Logan Jolliff (1st, U12 boys) and Kaufman.   Unable to be present for the photo were Ayden Adams (2nd, U12 boys) and Karyn Hopkins (2nd, U10 girls).

The first place winners will now advance to the Ohio Elks Northwest District Soccer Shoot contest to be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Emory Adams Soccer Fields in Findlay.
