
Kenton Ritualistic Team Wins State Competition, Moves Onto Nationals To Represent Ohio
The 121st Ohio Elks Convention has come to a close and during the weekend the Kenton Elks 157 Ritual Team claimed victory for the Ritualistic Competition. With the high team score of 98.416, Kenton advances to the National Competition at the 151st Grand Lodge Convention in St. Louis, Missouri on June 30th through July 3rd.

Kenton competed at the State level against very talented and dedicated teams from Elyria Elks #465, Berea Elks #1815, and New Philedelphia Elks #510. The Ritual Competition is a core element in the Order of Elks and everyone from Kenton is happy to be competing alongside all of these great Elks.

Chad Spencer, PER competed at Esquire and received the highest score overall at his position but was not eligible for the individual awards. The Ritual team also has some of the best coaches and they won the award for their hard work. The team really appreciates everything the coaches do for the team and those coaches for Kenton are D Jack Buroker PER, Jerry Haudenschield PER, and John Hines PER.
