In recognition of Sue Fox Buroker winning the Elks of the Year the Ohio House of Representatives, under the sponsorship of House District 83 representative Jon Cross, officially paid tribute to her excellent contribution to our community.

Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which you can be proud, for you have been recognized for your dedication to the community. You are a member of the Kenton Elks Lodge, where you serve on the board of trustees and were named the local Elk of the Year twice, and you have given generously of your time, abilities, and enthusiasm far beyond what was required or expected and have displayed exemplary civic pride.
Demonstrating a sincere concern for the future of the area, you have been a treasure to the community, and your selfless endeavors stand as the hallmark of responsible citizenship. Your outstanding contributions and steadfast commitment clearly show the potential of individuals to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society, and we are confident that your tireless efforts will inspire others to devote themselves similarly.
Thus, with great pleasure, we commend you on your recent accolade and salute you as one of Ohio’s finest citizens.
The Kenton Elks Ritual team who recently won the 2019 National Ritualistic Championship was also recognized by the House of Representatives.

Since its inception, the members of Kenton Elks Lodge 157 have directed themselves toward meaningful involvement in many beneficial programs and activities, and the drive of all associated with this organization is readily reflected in this prestigious distinction. A dedicated group of individuals, they have donated countless hours of their time to meeting the needs of local residents, and their numerous achievements are truly praiseworthy.
With enthusiasm and commitment, the members of Kenton Elks Lodge 157, both past and present, have worked tirelessly to better the world around them, and they have certainly distinguished themselves as dynamic leaders in the community. We are proud to note that it is through the diligent efforts of conscientious people such as these that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper and remains a pleasant place in which to live and work.
